Our 3D anatomy software licenses at BodyViz include access to the Online Portal where students can complete activities, such as virtual dissection labs and interactive quizzes, known as our Interactive Anatomy Content Modules. These systemically structured modules enhance our 3D anatomy platform by framing the virtual dissection experience with step-by-step activities, self-paced review questions, and easy access for students within our Online Portal or your preferred learning management system (LMS).

Our plug and play modules are packaged in two formats, Active Learning Modules and Assessment Modules. Both formats follow a systemic approach from the Human Anatomy and Physiology Society (HAPS) curriculum standards; however, our Content Specialists can also tailor a solution to fit the goals and requirements of any pedagogical approach. We offer modules for multiple levels including undergraduate, graduate, high school, and veterinary medicine modules coming soon. Our online modules found in the BodyViz Portal are accessible using a laptop or computer from anywhere with internet connection. There are many ways to incorporate our online anatomy resources into your class. Most commonly, instructors incorporate the Active Learning Modules into the lab portion of their courses and assign the Assessment Modules as homework. Students can complete the activities either individually or in small groups, dependent on instructor preference.

1. Active Learning Modules:
Our Active Learning Modules (ALMs) are a fantastic way to engage your students during lecture and lab, or in small group collaboration. The ALMs provide students with step-by-step instructions, guiding them through virtual dissections and examinations to reveal desired structures within our 3D Anatomy Software. Once the anatomical structure/concept has been identified, students will be tasked with applying their knowledge in order to annotate, identify, and highlight specific concepts before submitting their work.
2. Assessment Modules:
Accompanied with each Active Learning Module is an Assessment Module (AMs) where students can work through interactive quizzes, case studies, and review activities to test their knowledge. The AMs are completed directly within the BodyViz Online Portal, or your preferred learning management system, making it easy for instructors to track student performance and progress. This is an excellent addition for instructors who are looking for a simple and effective way to advance their traditional anatomy courses with engaging and innovative instructional methods.
3. Custom Curriculum Mapping
We understand that goals and requirements vary from institution-to-institution, and even between departments. In order to successfully meet all goals and requirements, we offer customizable solutions that can be implemented in any manner requested. An example of a custom project we’ve created is an advancement of existing PowerPoint lecture slides. The images below showcase how BodyViz content can visualize the anatomical structures in 3D, transforming the existing lecture slides into engaging and interactive activities. In this example, our Content Specialists created a complete series of interactive online modules to supplement a yearlong anatomy course. The modules were integrated into the institution's LMS and allows students to review lecture material and engage with real human anatomy outside of the classroom.
4. Clinical Case Studies
As instructors, it’s critical to make sure your students are not only comprehending the course content, but are also learning how to apply what they’ve learned in real life scenarios. Our clinical correlations ensure your students are career ready by reviewing foundational anatomy concepts through a clinical lens. Students will be presented a case study and series of questions. They will then be tasked with reviewing the patient’s vital signs and history prior to examining the patient’s actual anatomy using our 3D Anatomy Software. Before completing the case study, students will be asked to explain their diagnosis and treatment .
5. Instructor Forum
In order to make it easier for BodyViz customers to connect and share resources, strategies, and content with each other, we created an Instructor Forum within our online portal. Instructors can create their own discussion boards or read through and comment on the existing boards in order to collaborate with other instructors.
